Os Quatro Elementos: Ar

Last week we kicked off the project, “The Four Elements: Air” in full force by telling the story of “The Three Little Pigs,” emphasizing the vocabulary: one, two, three, pigs, blow, air, wind, open, close, door, house, brother.  In the story, the wolf huffed and puffed and blew down the houses of the 1^st and 2^nd pigs, then could not blow down the 3^rd pig´s house.  We all practiced huffing and puffing, using our  breathe to act like wind.  This past week we also introduced the vocabulary: kite, fly, air, wind, run, colors, fast, rocket, sky, moon.  In circle time, we talked about kites and balloons and later we enjoyed coloring a picture of a kite and experimenting with balloons in the field.  Later, after reading the book, "If you decide to go to the Moon," we all looked at the pictures and marveled at the rockets that go into outer-space!

Começamos nosso projeto, "Os Quatro Elementos: Ar," na semana passada contando a história: "Os Três Porquinhos," enfatizando o vocabulário: um, dois, três, porcos, soprar, ar, vento, aberto, porta, fechado, casa, irmão. Na história, o lobo soprou e derrubou as casas dos primeiros dois porquinhos, mas  não conseguiu derrubar a casa do último. Os alunos tentaram usar sua respiração para mudar coisas leves que nem o vento faz. Na semana passada, também introduzimos o vocabulário: pipa, mosca, ar, corrida, vento, cores, rápido,  foguete, céu, lua. Na rodinha, falamos sobre pipas e balões e depois aproveitamos para colorir uma imagem de pipa e brincar com balões no campo. Depois de ler o livro, "Se você decidir ir para a Lua," em pequenos grupos, analisaram as fotos do livro e ficaram maravilhados com os foguetes que voam pelo espaço!
