Os Quatro Elementos: Fogo

For the last few months we have been talking about the element of fire.  We learned how fire is used to cook in the story,” The Little Red Hen,” memorized the poem,”Jack Be Nimble” and then took turns jumping over the candlestick, talked about how the sun is made of fire and warms up our planet, did experiments to see how fire needs oxygen to survive, and finished up by talking about fire safety.  This last week we took a look at fire fighters and their role in helping us stay safe.  We read the book, “Fire Trucks” which showed a day in the life of fire fighters depicted in vivid colorful pictures.  At the end of this project we used colored chalk to draw flames on the cement. Then drove our “fire trucks” as quickly as possible to put the fire out with bottles of water which we used as hoses just like the fire fighters did in the story!

Nos últimos meses falamos sobre o elemento fogo. Agente aprendeu como o fogo é usado para cozinhar na história, "The Little Red Hen", memorizou o poema, "Jack Be Nimble" e depois soltou sobre o candeeiro, falou sobre como o sol é feito de fogo e aquece nosso planeta, fez experiências para ver como o fogo precisa de oxigênio para sobreviver, e terminou o projeto falando sobre segurança contra incêndios. Esta última semana falamos de bombeiros e seu papel em nos ajudar a ficar seguros. Lemos o livro "Fire Trucks" que mostrou um dia na vida dos bombeiros descrito com imagens coloridas. No final deste projeto usamos giz colorido para desenhar chamas no cimento.  Em seguida, o mais rapidamente possível, dirigimos nossos "caminhões de bombeiros" para apagar o fogo usando garrafas de água como mangueiras que nem os bombeiros fizeram no história!
